About APH^2
APH^2 was created with the intention of raising money to help Angel Aid in finding a cure for Huntington's disease and related MPS disorders like Hunter syndrome.
Our intention is to work in association with the professional hockey organization San Jose Sharks. Patrons will be given an opportunity to pledge money based upon the success of the San Jose Sharks, where all dividends will go to Angel Aid and their fight to halt Huntington's disease. Angel Aid is affiliated with the established MPS Society.
APH^2 was founded through Service Learning at Redwood High School (Larkspur, CA) in September, 2005. Service Learning is a class that promotes teaching and learning strategies through integration of community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities. To view other charities founded through Service Learning please visit the National and Community Service website. The National MPS Society's goal is to ultimately find a cure for MPS and ML disorders. The National MPS Society will achieve this goal by supporting research, providing support to individuals and their families affected by MPS or ML disease, promoting public and professional awareness, and significantly increasing participation by regions.
